This is a set of two 18” silks: one is black and white, and the other fully coloured. You could work the trick from a Change Bag, but you get a terrific effect if you use this in conjunction with the ‘Merry Switch Can’, and this is how it is described below. Briefly, you show the sad, black and white picture of the clown. No one wants to come to his shows; no one wants him at their parties, because he’s dull, with no colour at all, and that makes him very sad. Aaaaaahh! Will the children help? The paint tin is shown empty, and the sad picture put inside. Colour is collected on a paint brush and put into the can. When the picture is removed, it’s beautifully coloured…and the clown is REALLY happy! (Of course, the can is now empty.) If you’re still not sure, ask to see this at a convention, because it is an absolute WINNER of a routine!
